I can't believe its been so long since I last updated. Time has just flown and my life has changed drastically since I last updated.
I am engaged! I'm getting married...I almost can't believe it myself. WB and I discussed it a few weeks ago and agreed we both knew we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together. It hasn't been long and I know a lot of people are worried that we don't know each other well enough, but we just KNOW. So we talked about dates etc and I started looking through some wedding magazines I found that someone in our apartments had thrown away and I found the perfect venue on the Gold Coast, which is the town I was born in. I started making inquiries.
Then we started looking at ring prices on the internet and found some amazing bargains from a jeweller on the Gold Coast (it was all just starting to fall into place)...He was selling things on auction on E-Bay and they were going for really reasonable prices. I had been looking around some jewellers and hadn't seen anything I REALLY liked for under $8000-$13000 which we could never afford. We started bidding on a ring on his auctions which was just over 1 Carat and won the auction for $4000! The ring looked beautiful in the photos, but I expected the photos to look better than the ring in real life...I was sadly mistaken....The ring STILL takes my breath away....Photos attached...
So I am over the moon. We were going to the Gold Coast for Christmas anyway to visit my family, so we went to look at the wedding venue and it is incredible. Its so beautiful...They even have a horse and carriage which is modelled on the Queen's carriage....I have always wanted a fairytale wedding and it looks like that's what I'm getting....Have attached some photos here too...
We told my family on Christmas day that we were getting married. In hindsight, it probably wasn't the smartest thing to do since it was the first time they had met WB. They all seemed happy, but I could tell they were all worried, particularly my Dad. My step-Mum and my sister-in-law cried, which made me cry, but I know they were worried....In the end though, its our life and we are both old enough to know what we want. Some things were said behind our back about us not knowing each other etc, and that hurt us both...but again we are both happy and in love and know we want to spend the rest of our lives together.
